Welcome to Landlord Accreditation Wales

Why?

Why would this scheme be suitable for me?

If you want to make sure that your rental business is running smoothly, and within the confines of the law, then you should become part of this scheme. You will be able to demonstrate to potential tenants that you are committed to providing good quality, well managed accommodation. Accreditation should give landlords and agents a competitive edge over other providers and you can rest assured that your business is 'getting it right'.

The scheme is open to anyone who lives or works in Wales, and applies equally whether you are just looking into the buy to let market, or you have been renting a portfolio of properties for years.

What are the advantages of being part of the scheme?

There are various ways in which landlords can maximise the benefits and incentives linked to Landlord Accreditation.

Whilst many landlords simply value the knowledge gained from attending the course, and recognition of being part of such a scheme, we understand people want value for money and expect more.

The scheme is continually working to increase and improve the range of incentives and benefits offered by the scheme. Additionally your local Council may offer further ones.

Examples of those currently available include:

  • Preferential marketing: for you and your properties on the LAWs website
  • Better access: to Local Authority Events and Publications. Also be the first to hear about additional awareness and training sessions
  • Receive supporting documents: Provision of Reference Material to support the Development Course
  • Wider Support Network: Become part of a larger landlord network
  • One application covers all of the Welsh LA areas: As the scheme is Wales wide you only have to join once no matter how many LA areas you own houses in
  • Improved profile: for you and your business
  • Financial benefits: Discounts on services and products from a range of suppliers. Suppliers who have agreed to give a discount to landlords part of the scheme are listed below (please note that this scheme cannot endorse any company, therefore it is up to the person employing the services of somebody to feel confident that they are getting the best price and the quality they require.)
